Who is the course for?

If you have no formal training in investigations or would like to gain knowledge about starting in the investigation profession, then this two day course is for you.

• Theft, fraud, deception, assault and trespass
• Evidence, gathering, preserving and presenting
• First steps at scene of a crime
• Exhibits and their continuity

• Notes, statements and reports
• Drink and drugs in the workplace
• Road traffic accidents
• Recap on the day

Day Two

• Review of day one
• Interview techniques for witnesses and suspects
• Recording interviews
• Understanding body language
• Sources of information
• Basic foot and mobile surveillance techniques
• Equipment available
• Preparing a case file - Reporting to client
• Starting a business as an investigator
• Recap on course
• Open Forum - What next ?

2 day Investigation Foundation £220
This is a non-residential course.

Course dates

Investigation Foundation is run regularly throughout the year.

Course places are limited to 10 on each course.

The course is held just outside Chertsey, Surrey (near junction 11 on M25)
